Beef Stew With Tomatoes


Beef stew with tomatoes is very tasty and easy to made dish. Use tender meat and fresh tomatoes for the best result.


Ingredients


  • 1 kg beef
  • 2 onions, cut in small pieces
  • 500 g fresh or canned tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander, cut
  • cayenne pepper, powdered, to taste
  • salt to taste


Directions


  1. Cut the meat into small pieces. Put the saucepan in a medium-high fire and add in the beef cubes. Sauté for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add onions and bay leaves. Continue sautéing. When the onions are tender, add enough hot water to cover the meat. Reduce the fire, cover the saucepan with a lid and let it boil for 1 hour. Add extra hot water if needed.

  2. Peel and cut the tomatoes. When the meat is tender, add tomatoes and tomato paste. After 10 minutes add garlic and, coriander. Season the dish with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
