Green Beans With Tomatoes

Green beans are always a good idea for your summer dinner table.


  • 1 kg green beans
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • tomatoes, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh savory, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste


  1. Wash green beans, remove stems, break or cut both ends and trim. Place trimmed green beans into a large skillet, add enough water to cover, bring to a boil and simmer until softened. When boiled, drain the green beans.

  2. Add sunflower oil to the hot skillet. Add chopped onions and cook until transparent. Add green beans and tomatoes. Stir well. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 3-5 minutes. Add garlic, coriander, savory, salt an pepper. Remove from the heat and serve.
